OAHH's "Top Ten" Contributions To Holistic Health Care

  1. OAHH was the first Multi-Disciplinary Holistic Health School to be registered by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Training (1987) and the only area school to have received national accreditation.
  2. OAHH is the first school in the state to have a Clinical Hypnotherapy Program registered by the State Board of Career Colleges and Training.
  3. OAHH is the first school in the state to have a Clinical Reflexology Program registered by the State Board of Career Colleges and Training.
  4. OAHH has become a resource for hospitals, medical clinics and complementary care facilities hiring graduates to provide holistic health care services.
  5. In 2005, David Cunningham, CEO of OAHH, gave a testimonial in support of freedom of choice in health care to the Ohio House of Representatives.
  6. Several traditional health care facilities (hospitals and clinics) have covered the cost of tuition for employees to attend OAHH certification programs.
  7. Advisors and faculty of OAHH have given Holistic Health Care presentations to the staff, faculty and students at Sinclair Community College, Wright State University, Miami University, The Ohio State University and Wittenberg College.
  8. OAHH presented the Ohio Holistic Health Expos '97 and '98 with the support of five traditional care hospitals in the area. The events, held at Wright State University E.J. Nutter Center, presented holistic health care information to the public alongside the traditional health care information. Approximately 1000 people attended these events from the professional health care community and the general public.
  9. Tom Firor, M.D., board certified in internal medicine, works with other providers in the Ohio Center for Integrative Medicine to deliver comprehensive integrative health care to individuals and families in the community. He and other physicians and practitioners in the center provide lecture, demonstration and advisory support to civic and health care oriented organizations throughout the region.
  10. OAHH is instrumental in promoting the integration of holistic and traditional medicine by providing holistic health education for allied health care and medical students from local colleges and universities.
