Academic Advisory Council

·         Timothy Angel, Ph.D. 

Dr. Angel brings years of scientific and health education experience to OAHH. Dr. Angel has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the Marshall University School of Medicine in Biology and a B.S. in Biology from Charter Oak State College. He has over 10 years experience as an educator in higher education, 5 years of laboratory research experience and effectively works with local, county, state and federal governments and agencies in the health care arena as the Health Commissioner of Ross County.
Dr. Angel holds professional licensures by the State Board of Education (OH) in Substitute Teaching Life Sciences and the State Board of Sanitarian Registration (OH). He was adjunct faculty for Shawnee State University teaching anatomical sciences laboratories to pre-professional students and Biology. Dr. Angel taught extensively in the laboratory and lecture sections in the anatomical sciences for first year medical students as a Graduate Research Assistant for Marshall University School of Medicine.

  • Melody Roush, MSW, BFA
    Melody Roush graduated from The Ohio State University in 1974 with a BFA in Drawing, Painting and Graphics, and again from The Ohio State University in 1994 with an MSW in Clinical Mental Health with a focus on Development of Self. Subsequently, she worked as a Counselor at North Central Mental Health in Columbus, Ohio and was co-founder of the Holistic Therapies Institute in Columbus, where she was a Holistic Psychotherapist, Reiki Master, and Creativity Coach.
  • Narinder Saini, M.D.
    Dr. Saini, an internal medicine and preventive medicine specialist, is the Medical Director of Community Hospital’s Coronary Prevention and Rehabilitation Center and The Community Healthplex and Wellness Center - a 65,000 square foot, state-of-the-art health and wellness center. As author of the book Create a Healthy Heart, Dr. Saini is a frequent lecturer for both health professionals and the general public on the reversal of heart disease.  Based upon the principles pioneered by nationally known cardiologist, Dr. Dean Ornish - the first physician to offer evidence that heart disease can be halted, and in some cases reversed, through comprehensive lifestyle change. Dr. Saini’s philosophy centers around a holistic lifestyle based program with nutrition, exercise and stress management components.  In addition to studying with Dr. Ornish at the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausilito, California, Dr. Saini was recognized in 1993 by Prevention Magazine with its “Best Doctor Award.”

  • Beth Wismar Ph.D. Associate Professor Emeritus
    Dr. Wismar received a B.S. in biology at Case Western Reserve University , a M.S. in Zoology also at Case Western, and a PH. D. in Human Anatomy at Ohio State University . She has spent many years teaching at Case Western, Fenn College , and Ohio State University along with others.  She was the senior author with G.A. Ackerman of “A Visual Approach To Histology” and has co-authored several other reference materials. She is currently a non-affiliated member on the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and a member of the Columbus Zoo Docent Association holding several positions including President and Representative to the Executive committee of the Columbus Zoo.
